Mujāhid, from Ibn Umar, who said: “Allah has veiled Himself from His creation with four things: fire, darkness, light, and water.”

Abū Bakr al-Najjād narrated in his Sunan, through his chain of transmission, that Abd Allāh ibn Amr ibn al-Ās said: “By Him in Whose hand is my soul, before Allah on the Day of Resurrection there will be seventy thousand veils.
