people, and Hammād ibn Salama would abridge certain reports from him because of his close association with him.
Ibn Khuzayma and others narrated it from Hammād ibn Zayd, from Thābit, from ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Laylā, who recited this verse:
“For those who do good is the best reward—and more.” [Yūnus 26]
“They will be given therein whatever they wish and whatever they ask for.” He said, “It will be said, ‘There remains something due to you that you have not yet been given.’” He said, “Then He, Blessed and Exalted, will reveal Himself to them.” He then recited this verse:
“For those who do good is the best reward—and more.” [Yūnus 26]
“Paradise, and the additional reward is looking upon their Lord. ‘Neither gloom nor humiliation will cover their faces’ after they have looked upon their Lord.”
