absent from him, “So-and-so has met me,” or “I have met him.” Thus, what he has claimed is a fabrication about the language, just as it is a fabrication against the Most Merciful and the Quran.

The seventeenth point: The polytheists did not deny that Allah has power over them and that they cannot shield themselves from it. Yet Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has stated that they deny meeting Him, and has placed that meeting after death. If what was meant were the manifestation of the effects of His power and His might, they would not have been denying the meeting with Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
