and division into parts, this name does not support his claim; rather, it refutes it. For the statement that al-Samad is solid entails the cohesion that this denier rejects, and rules out the possibility of separation in Him. Yet this denier says that He is described neither by cohesion nor by separation. Others, if they deny separation, do not deny the cohesion that necessarily belongs to Him.
