He also transmitted, with a chain of narration, from al-Qāsim ibn Abī Bazzah, from Sa‘īd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbās, who used to relate that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “The first thing Allah created was the Pen. He commanded it, and it wrote down everything that would come to be.”
