al-Hārith ibn ‘Ubayd, Abū Qudāmah al-Iyādī, from Abū ‘Imrān al-Jawnī, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, ‘I saw the greatest light, and the veil was drawn before me—a drapery of pearls and rubies. Then Allah revealed to me whatever He willed to reveal.’

He said: Yūsuf al-Qādī narrated to us: al-Muqaddamī narrated to us: Mu‘ādh ibn Hishām narrated to us: My father narrated to me: Qatādah narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbās and Abū Dharr concerning
