Isrā’īl, from Abū Ishāq, from ‘Abd al-Rahmān ibn Yazīd, from ‘Abd Allāh, concerning His words:

“The heart did not lie about what it saw (11).”

He said, “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Gabriel in a robe of rafraf fabric that filled the space between heaven and earth.”

Abū ‘Īsā said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.”

I say: As for his using Sūrat al-Najm to establish the vision, that has been disputed
