Sufyān, from Simāk, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, concerning the verse:

“Indeed, I saw eleven stars.” [Yūsuf 4]

He said, “For them, dreams were revelation.”

Al-Hasan ibn Salām narrated to us: Qabīsah narrated to us, saying: Sufyān narrated to us, from Simāk, from Saʿīd, from Ibn ʿAbbās, concerning His words:

“Indeed, I saw eleven stars.”

He said, “The dream was revelation.”

ʿAlī ibn Harb informed us: We were told by Sufyān ibn
