a prophet like Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—so that everything between heaven and earth becomes manifest to him—matters he had not known before that form placed its palm between his shoulders? Woe to you! Neither Gabriel nor Michael nor Isrāfīl can do this; none but Allah can do it. How much ignorance and error you heap upon yourself, taking on the interpretation of difficult hadiths whose understanding Allah has not granted you!
Nor can you be certain that this will not drag you into disbelief—as in your interpretation concerning the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—that a created form spoke to him, and Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—answered it, “My Lord.” Or does Allah have a form that he did not recognize, so he said, “My Lord came to me,” because Allah was directing matters in that form?
According to your claim, then, whenever you saw a dog, a donkey or a pig, you would be entitled to say, “This is my Lord,” since, according to you, Allah directs matters in their forms. Pharaoh, too, would have been justified in his claim:
“And he said, ‘I am your most exalted lord.’” (24) [al-Nāzi‘āt 24]
Since, as you allege, Allah directs matters in his form! This is the sheerest falsehood, capable of swaying only the most ignorant of people.
