Al-Ash'arī said: “The Bakriyyah maintain that Allah will create a form on the Day of Resurrection in which He will be seen and in which He will speak to His creation. Al-Husayn al-Najjār said that it is possible for Allah Most High to transform the eye into a heart and give us the faculty of knowledge, through which He would be known. This knowledge would constitute a vision of Him—that is, knowledge of Him.”

A group of those who affirm the divine attributes, including some later Ash'arīs and others like them, have adopted similar interpretations, as will be discussed in the appropriate place.
