Allah does not command any of His creatures to say to all His servants, “I am your Lord,” for He Most High does not command the association of partners with Him. Whoever claims that Allah commands this fabricates a lie against Allah. Even if an angel were to say it as a test, this would be improper, just as it would be improper for any prophet or messenger to say to people, “I am your Lord,” by way of testing them.
As for what he mentioned about people being tested in the gathering grounds on the Day of Resurrection, we do not deny it. Testing ends only upon entering the abode of recompense—Paradise or Hell. In the gathering grounds on the Day of Resurrection, testing occurs in this matter, in His command to them to prostrate, and in what has been reported concerning the imposition of obligations upon those who were not subject to them in this world, such as children and the insane, just as they are tested in their graves through questioning by Munkar
