al-Rāzī say:
“The deniers and negators of Allah’s attributes reject the attributes with which Allah described Himself in His Book and through His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. They disbelieve the authentic reports concerning His attributes transmitted from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and reinterpret them according to their distorted views to make them accord with the misguidance they have embraced. They accuse those who transmit these reports of likening Allah to His creation. Whoever accuses those who describe their Lord, blessed and exalted is He, as He described Himself in His Book and through His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—without equating or likening Him to His creation—[of likening Him to His creation] is himself a denier and negator of His attributes. Their accusing these people of likening Allah to His creation is evidence that they themselves deny and negate His attributes. This is what the scholars used to say, including ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak and Wakīʿ ibn al-Jarrāh.”’”
