let me join the people.” He will say, “Join the people.” He will set off, walking through Paradise with his garments trailing, until, as he draws near the people, a palace made of a pearl appears before him. He will fall down in prostration and be told, “Raise your head.”
He said: He will say, “I saw my Lord,” or, “My Lord, Mighty and Majestic, appeared to me.” He said: He will be told, “It is only one of your dwellings.”
He said: He will meet a man and prepare to prostrate himself, but will be told, “Stop! What is the matter with you?” He will say, “You are one of the angels.” The man will reply, “I am merely one of your keepers, one of your servants. Under my authority are a thousand stewards in positions like mine.”
He said: He will then proceed onward until the palace is opened for him. He said: It is a hollow pearl, with its roofing slabs, doors, locks and keys all made from it. Before him will be a green jewel lined with a red one, containing seventy doors, each leading to a jewel of a different colour from the others.
