The wording of the other narration is as follows:
Abū Sa‘īd said, “If you do not believe me, read, if you wish:
‘Indeed, Allah does not wrong anyone by even an atom’s weight. If there is a good deed, He multiplies it and grants from Himself a great reward.’ (40) [al-Nisā’ 40]”
The prophets, the angels, and the believers will then intercede. The Compeller will say, “My intercession remains.” He will take a handful from the Fire and bring out people who have been charred. They will be cast into a river at the entrances of Paradise called the Water of Life. They will grow along its two banks as seeds sprout in the debris carried by a flood. You have seen them beside a rock and beside a tree: the part facing the sun is green, while the part in the shade is white.
They will emerge like pearls, and seals will be placed upon their necks. They will enter Paradise, and its people will say, “These are those whom the Most Merciful has freed, whom He admitted to Paradise without any deeds they had done or any good they had sent ahead.” They will be told, “You shall have all that you have seen, and as much again.”
Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī said, “I have been told that the bridge is finer than a hair and sharper than a sword.”
Thus, four categories are mentioned in the hadith of Abū Sa‘īd:
