“Do you have any difficulty seeing the sun when no clouds obscure it?” They replied, “No, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “You will see Him in the same way. Allah will gather the people on the Day of Resurrection and say, ‘Whoever used to worship anything, let him follow it.’ Those who worshipped the sun will follow the sun; those who worshipped the moon will follow the moon; and those who worshipped false objects of worship will follow those false objects of worship.

“This community will remain, including its hypocrites. Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will come to them in a form other than His form which they recognize, and say, ‘I am your Lord.’ They will say, ‘We seek refuge in Allah from you. We will stay here until our Lord comes to us. When our Lord comes, we will recognize Him.’ Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will come to them in His form which they recognize, and say, ‘I am your Lord.’ They will say, ‘You are our Lord,’ and follow Him.
