For the Lawgiver has stated that He loves His servant to possess the qualities signified by the names of Allah Most High, as in the Prophet’s sayings, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty”; “He is One and loves what is odd-numbered”; and “He is pure and accepts only what is pure.”
