Himself free of the attributes of created beings and is far exalted above them. He says:
“There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.” [al-Shūrā 11]
He is as He has described Himself in His Book through the words of His Prophet. His attributes are not like those of created beings, whether living or inanimate—not as the Jahmiyyah likened the One they worship to inanimate things, nor as the extremists among the Rāfidah likened the One they worship to the children of Adam. May Allah condemn both these views and those who profess them.
Ahmad ibn Manī‘ narrated to us
نفسه وتقدس عن صفات المخلوقين وقال لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
[الشورى ١١]
وهو كما وصف نفسه في كتابه على لسان نبيه لا كصفات المخلوقين من الحيوان ولا من الموتان كما شبه الجهمية معبودهم بالموتان لا ولا كما شبه الغالية من الرافضة معبودهم ببني آدم قبح الله هذين القولين وقائلهما حدثنا أحمد بن منيع
