Saʿīd narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from Saʿīd, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: “When any of you strikes someone, let him avoid the face, and let him not say, ‘May Allah make your face ugly, and the face of anyone whose face resembles yours,’ for Allah created Adam in his image.”
Bandār also narrated to us: Yahyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us: Ibn ʿAjlān told me, saying: Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd told me, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “When any of you strikes someone, let him avoid the face, and let him not say, ‘May Allah make your face ugly’”—with wording similar to the hadith of Abū
