This is further established by the fact that Allah Most High has stated in several places in His Book, in both general and specific terms, that His servants will ultimately come to Him. He says:
“O mankind, you are indeed laboring toward your Lord with great exertion, and you will meet Him. (6)” [al-Inshiqāq 6]
He thus states that man is laboring toward Him and will meet Him. Allah Most High also says:
“There is no creature on earth, nor any bird flying with its two wings, except that they are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book. Then to their Lord they will be gathered. (38)” [al-An‘ām 38]
Allah Most High says:
“Had Allah willed, He would have made you one community, but He intended to test you through what He has given you. So race to do good deeds. To Allah you will all return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. (48)” [al-Mā’idah 48]
He says:
“No! Indeed, man transgresses (6) because he sees himself as self-sufficient. (7) Indeed, to your Lord is the return. (8)” [al-‘Alaq 6–8]
Allah Most High says:
“Indeed, to Us is their return. (25) Then, indeed, upon Us rests their reckoning. (26)” [al-Ghāshiyah 25–26]
Allah Most High says:
“It is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have done by day, then awakens you during it so that an appointed term may be fulfilled. Then to Him you will return, and He will inform you of what you used to do. (60) He is the Subduer above His servants, and He sends guardians over you until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take his soul, never failing in their duty. (61) Then they are returned to Allah, their true Master. Surely His is the judgment, and He is the swiftest of reckoners. (62)” [al-An‘ām 60–62]
Allah Most High says:
“You have certainly come to Us alone, just as We created you the first time, leaving behind you all that We bestowed upon you. Nor do We see with you those intercessors of yours whom you claimed to be partners in your affairs.” [al-An‘ām 94]
He says:
“Whether We show you some of what We promise them or take you in death, to Us is their return. Then Allah is witness to all that they do. (46)” [Yūnus 46]
He says:
“So be patient; indeed, the promise of Allah is true.
