and He has made clear that the earth will be in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, that the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand, that His Footstool encompasses the heavens and the earth, and that He keeps the heavens and the earth from passing away. There are many other verses explaining that all these observable things are created by Allah, belong to Him, and are governed by Him.

These texts explicitly establish that Allah Most High is not within them, for the Creator is neither the creation, nor a part of it, nor an attribute of it. Accordingly, such texts guide and heal hearts, protecting them from understanding His words, “And He is with you” [al-Hadīd 4], to mean that He is within creation, as alleged by those who maintain this among the heretics
