the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he used to say in prostration—and it is also reported that he would say this in his qunūt supplication:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your pardon from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough; You are as You have praised Yourself.”
If the one who knows his Lord best among all creation cannot praise Him enough, what of those below him by degrees that Allah alone can number?
Even if you have neither offered any proof for what they affirm and establish through scriptural and rational evidence, nor reported any position on it, your statement:
“One must acknowledge that the distinctive nature of His essence, by which it is distinguished from all other essences, is something whose true nature conjecture and imagination cannot fathom”
falls short and is remiss, for its true nature cannot be fathomed by knowledge, reason, or understanding
