And if this is not known—although it is among the things that distinguish Allah and set His true nature apart from that of anything else—then anyone who claims that this distinction and difference are confined to some particular feature is making a false claim, speaking untruth about Allah and fabricating lies against Him. This general point, clear as it is, is useful in matters of great foundational importance.
The twenty-first point
Regarding his statement, “The most he has said is that they believe Him to be composite and assembled,” the reply is this: It has already been noted more than once that the terms “composition” and “assembly” have multiple meanings, lack precision, are ambiguous, and can be misleading. You did not mean composition and assembly in their ordinary linguistic sense: that something has been put together or assembled by another from two things, whether different or not; that it has been fitted into something else; or that two things have been brought together. As Allah Most High says:
“In whatever form He willed, He assembled you.” (8) [al-Infitār 8]
And Allah Most High says:
“It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers (62) and united their hearts. Had you spent all that is on earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah united them.” [al-Anfāl 62-63]
