And the scholars narrated that a man brought a black slave woman to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I wish to free her as an expiation. Would freeing her be valid?” The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked her, “Where is Allah?” She replied, “In heaven,” and made an upward hand gesture. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then said, “Free her, for she is a believer.”

He said: “This indicates that Allah is upon His Throne, above heaven.”
