to nonexistent things, they are universal, and correspondence is a relational attribute of theirs. These are matters that should be carefully understood.

Section

Abū Abd Allāh al-Rāzī then said:

“Eighth: Our opponents must acknowledge the existence of something contrary to the judgment of sense perception and imagination, for our opponents in this matter are either the Karrāmiyyah or the Hanbalīs.

when we say to them: If Allah could be pointed to through sense perception, that [thing] would either be divisible, and therefore composite—which you do not affirm—or indivisible, and therefore as small and insignificant as an indivisible point or an indivisible particle,
