Muslim also recorded it through Ismā‘īl ibn Ja‘far, from al-‘Alā’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmān, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah, who related that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“Faith is Yemeni, and disbelief lies toward the east. Tranquility is found among those who tend sheep, while pride and ostentation are found among the loud-voiced herdsmen—those who own horses and camels.”
