“But do you see all of it?” He replied, “No.” He said, “Allah is greater.”

He should then be asked: “If the Lord’s right is other than His left in this sense, then when you say that Allah’s essence would be composed of parts, do you mean that it underwent composition—that someone assembled it, as He said:

‘In whatever form He willed, He assembled you.’ {8} [Al-Infitār 8]

—or that it was once dispersed and then came together? Or do you mean that the right is distinct from the left, which is composition in the specialized terminology, as explained earlier?”
