other beings.”
This entire argument of his implies that Allah, glorified and exalted be He, may veil Himself from one thing and not another. He cited this as evidence that Allah is above the Throne, because the negationists say that being veiled can only be an attribute of bodies, and that He could only be upon the Throne if He were a body. Yet he cited these verses as evidence that He is veiled from some of His creatures, which entails His being upon the Throne.
He said: Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:
“Then they are returned to Allah, their true Master.”
[al-Anʿām 62]
“If only you could see when they are made to stand before their Lord!”
[al-Anʿām 30]
And He said:
“If only you could see the criminals hanging their heads before their Lord!”
[al-Sajdah 12]
And He, glorified be He, said:
“They will be presented before your Lord in rows: ‘You have come to Us just as We created you the first time.’”
[al-Kahf 48]
