or naming anything else concerning the Lord required of a believer. Any attribute of his Lord that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is reported to have named has the same standing as what the Exalted Lord has named and described of Himself.
Those firmly grounded in knowledge stop where their knowledge ends, describe their Lord as He has described Himself, and leave unmentioned what He has left unmentioned. They neither deny and reject any attribute He has named nor presume, through excessive probing, to describe what He has not named. For the truth lies in leaving unmentioned what He has left unmentioned and naming what He has named.
“and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will leave him to what he has chosen and burn him in Hell—what an evil destination!”
