Bayān Talbīs al-JahmiyyaIbn Taimiya

al-Sunnah the previously cited report transmitted by Harb from Ishāq ibn Ibrāhīm, stating that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, described Himself in His Book with attributes that leave His creation no need to describe Him otherwise than He has described Himself. Among these are His words:

“Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds.” [al-Baqarah 210]

And His words:

These occur among verses that all describe the Throne. Reports concerning the Throne have been firmly established, and the most authoritative and firmly established statement concerning it is Allah’s saying:

“The Most Merciful rose over the Throne.” {5} [Tā Hā 5]
