He said: Whoever claims that Allah has no limit has rejected the Quran and claimed that He is nothing, for Allah Most High has described the limit of His location in many places in His Book. He said:
“The Most Merciful rose over the Throne.” [Tā Hā 5]
“Do you feel secure from Him who is above the heaven?” [al-Mulk 16]
“They fear their Lord above them.” [al-Nahl 50]
“I will take you and raise you to Myself.” [Āl ʿImrān 55]
“To Him good words ascend.” [Fātir 10]
All these passages, and others like them, bear witness to and provide evidence for the limit. Whoever does not acknowledge it has disbelieved in Allah’s revelation and denied Allah’s signs.
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Allah Most High is above His Throne, above His heavens.” He asked the black slave woman, “Where is Allah?” She replied, “Above the heaven.” He said, “Free her, for she is a believer.” Thus, the statement of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, “She is a believer”
