Allah to be situated specifically in the upward direction, while it is impossible for Him to be in any of the other directions or spatial regions—namely, below, to the right, or to the left. Were these not different in reality and essence, it would be impossible to maintain that He, exalted is He, must be in the upward direction and cannot be in any other direction. Once it is established that these spatial regions differ in essence, they must be existent things, since pure nonexistence cannot possess such differences.
