al-Sahīh—in his book Khalq al-Af‘āl (The Creation of Actions), under the heading “What the Scholars Have Said concerning Those Who Deny the Divine Attributes and Seek to Alter Allah’s Words”:

He said: “Wahb ibn Jarīr said, ‘The Jahmiyyah are heretics. All they seek is to assert that He did not rise over the Throne.’”

He also said: “Hammād ibn Zayd said, ‘The Quran is Allah’s speech, brought down by Gabriel. Their disputation is aimed only at asserting that there is no God in heaven.’”
