Bayān Talbīs al-JahmiyyaIbn Taimiya

the Quran, as well as the face and the two eyes. Allah Most High says:

‘And there will remain the face of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honor.’ {27} [al-Rahmān 27]

He also says:

‘Everything will perish except His face.’ [al-Qasas 88]

In the account of Iblīs, He says:

‘What prevented you from prostrating to what I created with My two hands?’ [Sād 75]

He says:

‘Rather, both His hands are outstretched.’ [al-Mā’idah 64]

And He says:

‘Sailing under Our eyes.’ [al-Qamar 14]

He said: It is narrated in a hadith reported by Ibn Umar that when the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mentioned the Dajjāl, he said: ‘He is one-eyed, whereas your Lord is not one-eyed.’ Thus, he affirmed two eyes for Allah.
