Bayān Talbīs al-JahmiyyaIbn Taimiya

corporealism, saying: “Having declared the Creator to be a body, they differed concerning His magnitude. Some said that He is a body, that He is in every place and extends beyond all places, yet is finite; His extent, however, exceeds that of the universe, because He is greater than everything. Others said that His extent equals that of the universe.”

He then said: “Others said that the Creator’s extent has neither limit nor end, and that He extends in all six directions: right, left, front, back, above and below. They said that whatever is like this cannot be called a body, nor described as long, broad or deep, and has neither boundaries, nor shape, nor axis.”
