Were that permissible, anyone could claim, without evidence, that wording whose apparent meaning is general is specific, and that wording whose apparent meaning is specific is general. Since no one may make such a claim without proof, neither may you make yours. It is impossible to interpret it metaphorically without evidence. Rather, His words, “that which I created with My two Hands” [Sād 75], must affirm two Hands for Allah Most High, not two favors, for Arabic speakers cannot say, “I did it with my two hands,” meaning “my two favors.”
