Allah created Adam with His two Hands and planted the tree of Tūbā with His Hand. He, glorified and exalted is He, said:
“Rather, both His Hands are outstretched.” [al-Mā’idah 64]
It is also reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Both His Hands are right hands.” He, glorified is He, said:
“We would have seized him by the right hand.” {45} [al-Hāqqah 45]
Neither the Arabic language nor customary speech permits someone to say, “I did such-and-such with my hand,” intending “hand” to mean a favor. Since Allah, glorified is He, addressed the Arabs in their own language, using what they find intelligible in their speech and comprehensible in their discourse, and since one cannot say in their speech
