they say—far exalted is He!
If someone asks us, “Do you say that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has a Face?” we reply: We affirm this, contrary to what the innovators say. Its truth is demonstrated by His words, glorified is He:
“And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.” {27} [al-Rahmān 27]
If someone asks us, “Do you say that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has two Hands?” we reply: Yes, we affirm this because of His words, glorified and exalted is He:
“Allah’s Hand is above their hands.” [al-Fath 10]
It is also reported from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that
يقولون علوًا كبيرًا ومن سألنا فقال أتقولون إن لله عز وجل وجهًا قيل له نقول ذلك خلافًا لما قاله المبتدعون وقد دل على صحة ذلك قوله سبحانه وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

وإن سألنا فقال أتقولون إن لله عز وجل يدين قيل له نعم نقول ذلك لقوله سبحانه وتعالى يَدُ اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ
