Bayān Talbīs al-JahmiyyaIbn Taimiya

could never have missed us, and whatever has missed us could never have befallen us; and that we have no power to harm or benefit ourselves except as Allah wills. We entrust our affairs to Allah and affirm our constant need for Him and dependence upon Him.

We say that the Quran is the speech of Allah, uncreated, and that whoever says the Quran is created is an unbeliever. We hold as our creed that Allah, glorified is He, will be seen with the eyes on the Day of Resurrection, just as the moon is seen on the night when it is full. The believers will see Him, as reported in the narrations from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. We say that when the believers see Him, the unbelievers will be veiled from Him, as Allah says:

“No! Indeed, they will be veiled from their Lord that Day.” {15} [al-Mutaffifīn 15]

And that Moses asked to see Allah in this world, and that Allah manifested Himself to the mountain, causing it to crumble, and thereby made it known to Moses
