are created.” {20 { [al-Nahl 20]

And as He, Mighty and Majestic, says:

“Or were they created by nothing, or are they the creators?” {35} [al-Tūr 35]

There is much of this in the Book of Allah, glorified and exalted. And that Allah enabled the believers to obey Him, showed them kindness, looked after them, set them aright, and guided them. He led the unbelievers astray and did not guide them, nor did He show them kindness with regard to faith, contrary to what the people of deviation and transgression claim. Had He shown them kindness and set them aright, they would have been righteous; and had He guided them, they would have been rightly guided, as He, Most High, says:

“Whoever Allah guides is truly guided.” [al-A‘rāf 178]

And that Allah, glorified and exalted, is able to set the unbelievers aright and show them kindness so that they become believers, but He willed that they should be unbelievers, as He knew they would be. And that Allah withheld His aid from them and sealed their hearts; that good and evil occur by Allah’s decree and predestination; and that we believe in Allah’s decree and predestination, its good and its evil, its sweetness and its bitterness, and know that whatever has befallen us
