We affirm hearing and sight for Allah Most High and do not deny them as the Mu‘tazilah, Jahmiyyah and Khawārij do. We say that Allah’s speech is uncreated, and that He has created nothing without having said to it, “Be,” whereupon it comes into being, as He—glorified is He—says:

“His command, when He wills a thing, is only to say to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” {82} [Yā Sīn 82]
