Allah is smaller, then you have made the Throne greater than Him. If He is larger than the Throne, you have claimed that He extends beyond it. If He is equal to it, then, when the heavens and the earth are added to the Throne, the whole would be greater’—along with fables he utters, nonsense he toys with, and errors by which he misleads. Had there been anyone acting for Allah’s sake, he would have cut the skin from this man’s tongue. Woe to a people whose jurist and respected authority is this man, with all this discernment and reasoning—and all this ignorance and error!

This blustering chatterbox should therefore be told: Allah is greater than everything and larger than every created being. The Throne does not bear Him by virtue of its own size or strength.
