It is also established in the two Sahihs, in the hadith of intercession, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Moses will be told: “You are Moses. Allah singled you out by speaking to you and inscribed the Tablets for you with His hand.” Another wording reads: “And He wrote the Torah for you with His hand.”

It is also established in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “And He planted with His hand, in the Garden of Eden, the honor reserved for His allies.”

As for acts performed with the hand other than creation, His grasping the earth and the heavens is established in the Quran and Sunnah. The well-known hadiths concerning this in the two Sahihs and elsewhere have reached the level of mass transmission. Among them is his statement:

“Allah will fold up the heavens on the Day of Resurrection, then take them in His right hand and say, ‘I am the King. Where are the tyrants? Where are the arrogant?’ Then He will fold up the earth with His other hand (in Muslim’s narration: ‘with His left’), then say, ‘I am the King. Where are the tyrants?
