Mihrān—known as al-Muktib (the teacher)—who said: Mujāhid narrated to us that ‘Abd Allāh ibn ‘Umar said: “Allah created four things with His Hand: the Throne, the Pen, Eden, and Adam. Then He said to the rest of creation, ‘Be,’ and it came into being.”
