and enabled them to eat, drink, and rest. Just as You have given them this world, grant us the Hereafter.’ He replied, ‘I will not do so.’ Then they renewed their request, pressing it earnestly. He replied, ‘I will not do so.’ Then they again pressed their request earnestly in the same way. He replied, ‘I will not make the righteous descendants of the one whom I created with My own two hands like one to whom I said, “Be,” and he came into being.’”
