either a light that is heard or a light that is seen. Whoever claims that Allah is heard but not seen has erred in denying that his Lord can be seen and in rejecting His Book and the words of His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Scholars have narrated that Abd Allāh ibn Abbās said:

‘Reflect on Allah’s creation, but do not reflect on Allah, for the distance between His Footstool and heaven is a thousand years’ journey, and Allah, mighty and majestic, is above that.’”
