And the first person to openly propagate Jahmī teachings in Islam, and this doctrine championed by al-Rāzī, Abū Ma'shar and others like them, was al-Ja'd ibn Dirham. Khālid ibn 'Abd Allāh al-Qasrī offered him as a sacrifice. Addressing the people on the Day of Sacrifice, he said:

“Offer your sacrifices, people! May Allah accept your sacrifices. I shall sacrifice al-Ja'd ibn Dirham, for he claimed that Allah did not take Abraham as a close friend, nor did He speak directly to Moses. Exalted is Allah, far above what al-Ja'd says!”

Then he stepped down and slaughtered him.
