Nimrod son of Canaan, the Babylonian, and others. The people of India are the most polytheistic of nations, and they are enemies of Abraham, Allah’s close friend and the leader of those devoted to pure monotheism. How, then, can the followers of these polytheists—the enemies of Abraham, Allah’s close friend, peace be upon him—taunt the adherents of the pure monotheistic faith as followers of polytheists, when they follow Abraham and his family in affirming Allah’s attributes and names and in worshipping Him?

These Jahmiyyah deny the reality of Abraham’s close friendship with Allah Most High and of His speaking, just as their predecessors did—the enemies of Abraham, Allah’s close friend, and of Moses, to whom Allah spoke.
