to the Book and the Sunnah, as Allah Most High says:
‘If you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger.’ [al-Nisā’ 59]
They hold that the earlier imams of the religion should be followed and that they must not introduce into their religion anything Allah has not authorized. They affirm that Allah will come on the Day of Resurrection, as He says:
‘And your Lord comes, and the angels, rank upon rank.’ {22} [al-Fajr 22]
And that Allah Most High draws near to His creation however He wills, as
بالكتاب والسنة كما قال تعالى فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَالرَّسُولِ
[النساء ٥٩]
ويرون اتباع من سلف من أئمة الدين وأن لايتدعوا في دينهم ما لم يأذن به الله ويقرون أن الله يجيء يوم القيامة كما قال وَجَاء رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفّاً صَفّاً
