and believing women are guardians of one another.” [al-Tawbah 71]

Twenty-first, the Ever-Living. Allah Most High said:

“Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence.” {2} [Āl ‘Imrān 2]

He also said:

“And We made from water every living thing.” [al-Anbiyā’ 30]

Twenty-second, the One. He Most High said:

“Say, ‘He is but one God.’” [al-An‘ām 19]

This description also applies to most things: one says “one garment” and “one human being.”

Twenty-third, the Accepter of Repentance. Allah Most High said:

“Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of Repentance, Most Merciful.” {16} [al-Nisā’ 16]

He also applied this designation to His creatures, saying:

“Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent.” [al-Baqarah 222]
