33 – With his chain of transmission he said: When the people had pledged allegiance to Muʿāwiyah, Abu Musa came to him, entered, and said, “Peace be upon you, O commander appointed by Allah.” Muʿāwiyah asked, “What are you saying, Abu Musa? What is this?” He replied, “I perceive that Allah has put you in charge while we were averse, and so you are indeed Allah’s commander.” Muʿāwiyah said, “You have spoken the truth.”
